Overnight boarding · Lutz & Tampa Bay

A little retreat while you’re away.

Home-based dog boarding with a familiar rhythm: time to play, room to rest, and personal attention throughout the day.

Tampa Bay Canine Retreat welcomes a limited number of dogs into a structured home setting. We get to know your dog’s routines and needs, then plan appropriate activities and care around them.

Start with a conversation about your dates, your dog, and the right fit. Availability is confirmed before a stay is reserved.

A day at TBCR

Play a little. Rest a little. Feel at home.

Activities vary with each dog, the group, and daily conditions. We balance participation with rest instead of expecting every dog to enjoy the same schedule.

Play and movement

Backyard time and supervised activities are selected around the dogs participating and the day’s conditions.

Enrichment and curiosity

Appropriate games and enrichment may include puzzles, art, splash-pad activities, or other ways to engage with the day.

Rest and relaxation

Indoor downtime, naps, and quieter moments give the day a comfortable rhythm.

Routines that matter

Food routines, potty breaks, and appropriate walks help us care for your dog as an individual.

Getting to know your dog

Let’s talk before the first stay.

Share your dog’s routines, history, and any handling or behavior concerns. We’ll discuss whether standard boarding fits or whether a training-inclusive plan needs to be considered.

Start with a phone conversation or free Transformation Session. We’ll explain any evaluation or Meet & Greet needed as the next step.

What boarding includes—and what it doesn’t

All boarding dogs attend daycare and participate in daycare activities during their stay. There is no separate daycare-day charge during a boarding stay.

Formal training is not included in standard boarding. Any participation in group training is at the trainer’s discretion and is not guaranteed.

For a dedicated training plan, compare Board & Train or discuss Behavior Modification.

A little extra care

A fresh finish to their stay.

A complimentary bath may be available for stays of three nights or more, subject to availability and our care and grooming workload. Additional spa services can be discussed as add-ons to an eligible boarding reservation.

Questions before your dog’s stay.

Where does my dog stay?

TBCR provides home-based boarding in Lutz with a limited number of dogs, structured routines, and appropriate supervised activities.

Can two dogs from my household stay?

Tell us about both dogs and your dates. The second-dog rate for the same household is $45 per night for nights 1–10, then $40 per night from night 11 onward. We confirm availability and fit before reserving.

Do you offer rates for longer stays?

Yes. From night 11 onward, the first dog is $45 per night and the second dog from the same household is $40 per night. The first ten nights remain $52 and $45 per night respectively. The discount does not reprice earlier nights.

Is training included with boarding?

Standard boarding includes appropriate activities and routine-based care, not a formal training program. Group-training participation is discretionary and not guaranteed. Dogs needing additional training or behavior work may require a separately recommended plan.

Do boarding dogs attend daycare?

All boarding dogs attend daycare and participate in daycare activities during their stay. Boarding fit is still reviewed individually.

Will I receive updates?

Yes. We provide updates during your stay. On Sundays, we send one update; additional updates are available on request.

Is a bath included?

A complimentary bath may be available for stays of three nights or more, subject to availability and our care and grooming workload. Other spa services are available as add-ons to an eligible reservation.
