At Tampa Bay Canine Retreat, our daycare is thoughtfully designed to feel more like home than a kennel. We keep our group intentionally small, allowing your dog to enjoy structured play, personalized attention, and peaceful rest—all in a safe, loving, and enriching environment.
Unlike large, noisy facilities, we provide a calm atmosphere where dogs thrive emotionally, socially, and behaviorally. From supervised playgroups to guided activities and nap time in cozy crates, every moment is designed with your dog’s well-being in mind.

Our daycare includes a splash pad and in-ground doggy pool! It is a great place for our dogs in training or boarding , to relax, try out the agility equipment, or run around!

The day begins early with fresh filtered water, a potty break, and gentle movement to start the morning off right.

🍽️ Breakfast & Calm Sit/Wait Practice
Meal times double as training opportunities, reinforcing cues like “sit,” “stay,” and “wait” before eating.
7:00 – 8:00 AM
🐾 Social Play & Supervised Observation
Light play with peers under close supervision — perfect for burning morning energy in a structured way.
8:00 – 8:30 AM
🛏️ Crate Rest & Quiet Time
A short rest block allows everyone to reset and promotes balanced behavior throughout the day.
8:30 – 9:30 AM
🎓 Morning Training Session
Focused one-on-one time to work on manners like recall, name recognition, sit, and focus.
9:30 – 10:00 AM
💧 Potty & Water Break
We ensure frequent hydration and potty routines to support healthy habits and comfort.
10:00 – 11:00 AM
🧩 Rotating Enrichment Block
This includes puzzle games, hide-and-seek treats, art projects, light walks, or supervised free play based on energy level and weather.
11:00 – 12:00 PM
🎶 Crate Nap with Soothing Music
A mid-morning rest helps your dog regulate excitement and remain well-balanced through the afternoon.

🍎 Midday Snack, Water, & Potty
We offer a variety of natural treats — from flavored ice cubes to apple slices and pup-friendly snacks. Please let us know of any allergies!

We build on earlier lessons with leash work, door manners, and self-control commands like “stay” and “down.”

🎾 Cool-Down Play
Low-energy activities like tug, fetch, or massage, based on each dog’s mood and energy level.

🛏️ Deep Nap Time
Essential for healthy behavior and mental reset. Crate or mat, depending on your pup’s needs.
3:30 – 4:00 PM
🧼 Body Handling & Grooming Desensitization
Gentle brushing, paw handling, or crate association — designed to build trust and confidence.
4:00 – 5:00 PM
🎯 Obstacle Course & Enrichment
From tunnel runs and splash pad time to threshold games or art projects (like ink paw prints), we make the afternoon engaging and fun!
5:00 – 5:30 PM
🍽️ Dinner & Calm Practice
Dinner is paired with calm behavior cues, reinforcing peaceful transitions.
5:30 – 6:00 PM
🚶 Evening Potty & Gentle Stretch
A final stroll and stretch after dinner to help everyone wind down.

Light socialization or cuddle time before the evening wind-down.

Quiet crate time with a chew toy, gentle music, or calm mat settle.
