Our Story
Our program began with a simple belief: the right dog, trained the right way, can change a life. What started as a love for dogs has grown into a mission to develop reliable, purpose-driven service dogs who truly support the people they work with.
We have colaborated with Top Dog Foundation to create: Top Dog Canine Retreat! We work with the very best breeder of German Shepards! We focus on calm temperaments, sound health, and clear communication. Every dog is trained with structure, patience, and respect — never fear — so they can think, stay steady, and perform in real-world situations.
We can provide AKC-registered puppies with veterinary health certificates, or we can train a dog a client already owns if they are a suitable candidate for service work. The match always matters.
Our passion comes from seeing individuals gain confidence, independence, and peace of mind through their service dog. This isn’t just training for us. It’s a calling, and we treat every dog and every person like they truly matter — because they do.

As the Director of Animal Wellness and Training, I’ve had a lot of experience in the dog world and I’ve seen many times over and over again, people bringing their dogs to overcrowded shelters because their dog is destroying the house, or still going the bathroom in the house, or jumping on counters, and pulling on the leash. This is due to a lack of dog training. We are here to stop this pattern right in its tracks! We are here to help train your dogs because dogs are a part of the family and after all, a home is not a home without a dog!
We excel in offering alternatives to all the dogs out there at home, possibly in a crate all day waiting for their parents to get home from work when they could be at a fun, enriching, and fulfilling home-based daycare, learning to socialize, participating in art class, and engaging in splash pad pool time. Your pup will be happier and well rounded having a home daycare to go to everyday or even a couple days a week.
Our dog training programs are built to train your dog to behave in a way that suits your needs. Teaching a dog obedience is the very best thing you can do for your dog. Sometimes a dog trainer is necessary to help train your dog to be the very best they can be! Tampa Bay Canine Retreat offers you a certified dog trainer that is willing to train your dog in a personalized way in a in-home setting. You will get daily updates and videos of your dog’s progress. You will also get training videos and homework to assure we are working together as a team with training your dog. Consistency and communication between us and the owners is best when it comes to dog training.
We also excel in obtaining strong, lasting relationships with our clients. We have a very high percentage of repeat clients and it's very important to us to keep it that way. We go above and beyond for our clients because we are all part of One big dog family!
